- The Mission - wrenching tragedy set in colonial Meso-America. Stellar soundtrack album too
- Nosferatu - the first vampire film, a Silent Movie by Abel Ganz. Still one of the best vampire films.
- Time Bandits - a romp through history by Terry Gilliam
- The Thing - John Carpenter's version based on the book 'Who Goes There' A hideous monster.
- Koyaanisqatsi - an amazing visual journey with a fabulous Philip Glass sound track
- Black Hawk Down - intense film making by Ridley Scott
- Lawrence of Arabia - a sweeping unforgetable epic of a movie
- Little Big Man - starring Dustin Hoffman, a fantasy set in America during the Western Expansion
- The Lion King - some of the best storytelling to emerge from Disney Studios

- Zulu - the battle of Roarks Drift, Michael Cain's first film

- The Lion King - an amazing, eye popping production
- Play Without Words - so hard to describe, the musicians share the stage with the actors
- Sleuth - such a fun play to watch. Fools the audience many times
- The Phantom of the Opry - a nutty crazy spoof
- The Producers - the most fun I have ever had in the theater
- Black Elk Speaks - based upon the book of the same name.
Outstanding Television
- The Twilight Zone - a true timeless classic and yes, I have met Rod Serling
- Babylon 5 - the sweep and story arc of the series is perhaps the best Sci Fi ever on television
- Deadwood - astonishing television set in the Black Hills of the Old West
- Mission Impossible - the TV show works superbly, FORGET THE MOVIES
- The Wild Wild West - with Robert Conrad, Ross Martin and Michael Dunn
- The Prisoner - a cult classic and head trip directed by and starring Patrick McGoohan
- 24 - starring Kiefer Sutherland, a great idea superbly executed
- The Civil War - by Ken Burns, the finest most arresting television program I have EVER seen
