This was written in response to a Forum Discussion in which the topic was :  Do  Dragons live solitary or social lives ?

Look here we know it in our bones,
that Dragons are a nation,
We seek each other's company,
from our very creation,

We form in groups to dance and sing
To hear and tell our stories
To nest and gather to our own,
And live up in our aeries

Together then we find our mates,
And do what couples do,
And raise the hatchlings of our get,
That's how our kind renew.

We fly with friends we fill the air,
and flood the very sky,
Singing, calling, wheeling, laughing,
As we move on by.

The master's hand is in our blood,
He gave us to this world,
Moonlight sparkling on our flanks,
and on our wings unfurled.

The world cries out from mundane roots,
To see the dragons flocking,
Family, kinfolk of the heavens,
Inspiration knocking.

And though we live our lives of joy,
And know our sorrows too,
'Tis when we are together that,
Our spirits ring most true.
